Nest thermostat stopped working after a thunderstorm: troubleshooting and replacement
This happened in the summer of 2025. While we were away on a trip, a strong thunderstorm passed through our home area, and several devices at home stopped working.

macOS, limit IP address tracking and corporate network problems
The network issue was confusing because nothing looked broken. The network was up, websites opened, and there were no clear signs of a problem — until everyday tools suddenly stopped working.
