Today is Jan 5th, and seven years ago we landed in AUS (Austin, Texas).
It was a long flight from Kyiv to New York, about 11 hours. Then we waited 6 hours at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Another 4-hour flight to Austin.
Our friends met us and drove us to our temporary apartment.
Then we spent a lot of time getting a Texas driver’s license and other documents. Also, it took several years to get our Green Cards.
Many things happened during these years: a lot of travel, visits to many states, national parks, and state parks.
We bought a house in Texas. I still can’t believe that we have been living in our own house in Texas for 5 years.
These 7 years flew by so fast…
