When I was studying in the 10th–11th grade (the last years of school, 2004–2006), I worked with a friend as a lab assistant in the computer classroom.
I found a photo from the 11th grade:
We maintained computers in the computer classroom, the school accounting office, and the principal’s office.
It was my first official job in IT.
At that time the computers were running Windows 98 SE, and we often had to reinstall the system 😅
Later, in a new computer classroom, there were more powerful computers with Windows XP. We had to play with drivers so that old scanners and printers would work.
I also remember how the principal sometimes took us from class to check what was wrong with a computer in the accounting office.
Around the same time, we also developed the school website and a small internal portal (a catalog of school books and disks).
Those were good times. I still have warm memories of that time…
Sadly, many of my former classmates and friends have been completely brainwashed by propaganda and now openly support the war against Ukraine. Others prefer to stay silent and repeat phrases like “it’s not so simple” or “it’s all geopolitics”.
