On September 29, 2026, I saw Iron Maiden live for the second time.
The first time was back in 2022 in Austin. This time, I went to San Antonio with some friends.
The concert was part of the Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026. Iron Maiden played mostly their classic songs from the 1980s and early 1990s.
Recently, I also went to another concert featuring bands from the 80s: The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins.
It was an absolutely amazing show. Iron Maiden played for more than two hours with almost no breaks 🤘

Unfortunately, I can’t add any videos from the concert because the videos I uploaded to YouTube were removed due to copyright claims…
The opening acts were Anthrax and Megadeth.
We arrived too late to see Anthrax. But it was really cool to finally hear Megadeth live. After seeing Metallica last year, I really wanted to catch Megadeth in concert too. You can definitely hear the shared roots of Megadeth and Metallica 😎
It was also great to take a road trip to San Antonio with friends. On the way back home, we talked about the future of IT and where we’ll all end up working once AI takes our jobs…
Next on my concert schedule: Amorphis & Insomnium in December in Austin!
